故事是由"綠野仙蹤"裡的西方壞女巫, Elphaba, 以及她身旁人們的觀點來看她的一生, 因為生來異常的綠皮膚, 又和統治Oz的巫師政治觀點相沖而最後被冠上"壞女巫"一名. 因為外在的不同而不被接受, Elphaba常常對於Oz社會的諸多常規嗤之以鼻. 她的叛逆導致她在生活上一直受到很大的壓力.  我看完之後有點感慨. 書裡面的壞女巫, 雖然是從她的觀點來寫, 並沒有把她寫成一個革命的悲劇英雌(雖然她有試著參與革命活動). 而是寫這個人和比她大又超出她控制的阻力搏斗一生的過程. 人力微薄但堅強不餒, 令我想到何布 或又 "Menance II Society" 這部片子, 也是講類似的情節. 如果Elphaba當時能不一個人背棄Glinda而去的話, 她們是不是能聯手超越社會的規範呢?

"A Wonderful Welcome to Oz: e Marvelous Land of Oz, Ozma of Oz, & The Emerald City of Oz"呢？

這個作者的作品真不少XD
另外還有 "Lost"、 "Mirror Mirror"

全名太長, 所以被我剪掉了. 雖然 Maguire 和綠野仙蹤的作者都有寫續集, 但是聽說沒有第一本那麼好看. 或許是因為第一本裡面有我們熟悉的角色, 所以我們會比較愛看. 再來是我自己比較不喜歡同樣的菜一直吃. 妳看過"Lost" 或"Mirror Mirror"嗎? 推薦嗎?

把一些我們從小聽到大的故事用不同的手法不同的角度寫出來

其實如果是看那些童話的原作, 大概會覺得很血腥吧.....

Well...when they were playing in Toronto, it wasn't that hard to get tickets.....it's just that I was trying to graduate, so all of my time went to projects and homework...so......

It was actually harder to get tickets for the Pavaroti concert than Wicked musical.....go figure eh?
